Spring has finally sprung. Can’t you feel it in the air? Well, maybe not, it is still cold and wet, after all but there is no harm in day dreaming about sunnier days. What better way to do so then to plan your spring looks? It is spring cleaning time, isn’t it? So why not clean out your wardrobe and make way for your new season outfits, and clear out your beauty arsenal and make some room for the products you’ll need to nail this season’s hottest make up looks. Having been all over the spring/summer ’16 runways, the fresh face is the look to watch this season. Dewy, but natural-looking skin with no overt contouring or anything too dramatic, this is truly the perfect spring look. Steer clear of bold eyes or lips and stick with a lick of mascara and a strong brow and you’re good to go. Keep lips glossy but nude and as for foundation – keep it minimal, with a build-able and well-blended base.

For those days when you want to unleash your inner vamp, go for a bold, dark lip. Shades from aubergine to deep black and everything in between are what you should be on the lookout for. Keep it dramatic but cool for day time with a light bronzer and well manicured eyebrows (of course!) or amp it up for your girls’ night out with a smoky eye and an on-point contour. Dark lips may seem scary to the uninitiated, so it might take you a while to find the colour for you but, trust us, it’ll be well worth it.

Wanting to get a little bit mod this season? The graphic eye look is definitely one for you. It’s open to interpretation, really, just whip out your favourite eyeliner and get drawing. We love dramatic, geometric looks like the one above from the Atelier Versace Spring Couture show but the sky is your limit – go colourful, go out-there, go unexpected, just keep the rest of your look minimal to make sure your eyes really pop.
